Position Description:
The City of Ranson, WV is seeking experienced applicants for the position of Parks and Recreation Director. The primary duties of this role include planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the City’s parks and recreation activities and functions. This position will work collaboratively with the city manager, other department leaders, and the Parks and Recreation Board to develop and implement comprehensive parks and recreation programs and activities. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies, Outdoor Recreation, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience in parks and/or recreational management, or possess relevant experience demonstrating director-level responsibilities.
